Source: thrift
Version: 0.22.0-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Qt5 has been EOL'd since May of 2025. There is only a handful of
packages that depend on libthrift-0.22.0 and none of them use the Qt5
backend:

```
$ apt rdepends libthrift-0.22.0
libthrift-0.22.0
Reverse Depends:
  Depends: libthrift-dev (= 0.22.0-3)
  Depends: libparquet2300 (>= 0.22.0-1~)
  Depends: libgnuradio-runtime3.10.12 (>= 0.22.0-1~)
```

And, there is no replacement for Qt6.

Please consider removing the Qt5 component, or alternatively, split it
into a separate package, eg libthrift-qt5-0.22.0, that can be explicitly
installed by people still using Qt5.

Thank you,

Dimo
