Package: zutty Version: 0.16.2.20241020+dfsg1-1 Severity: normal Tags: a11y X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Dear Maintainer, Zutty has hard-coded some kind of unique and novel system for finding font files, but the code appears to be out of date. Most bitmap fonts witched to .otb years and years ago, but because the file extensions are inexplicably hard-coded into Zutty, you can't use those. For example, install fonts-terminus-otb, and try to use it with Zutty. You can't. Since the switch to .otb fonts, I expect that packages with OTF / TTF support (which includes Zutty) would be able to use them. -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.48+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages zutty depends on: ii libc6 2.41-12+deb13u2 ii libegl1 1.7.0-1+b2 ii libfreetype6 2.13.3+dfsg-1+deb13u1 ii libgcc-s1 14.2.0-19 ii libgles2 1.7.0-1+b2 ii libstdc++6 14.2.0-19 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.12-1 ii libxmu6 2:1.1.3-3+b4 zutty recommends no packages.
