I haven't seen any code in anacron creating symlinks, so how comes this is a problem with anacron? #993348 (mentioned in anacron's changelog) seems to be a bug in systemd, since it created the symlinks in /etc/systemd/system in first place. The fix for #1019554 (mentioned in the changelog in this context as well) is not clear to me. AFAICS the "fixed in version 2.3-35" has been revoked later. Anyhow, if the fix for #1019554 is to undo the changes for #993348, then #993348 should be reopened.
