PS: I wasn't 100% sure whether you'd be subscribed to the X-Debbugs-CC'ed lists, so I apologize if this mail reaches you three times :e On Thu, 2026-03-19 at 14:09 +1100, Russell Coker via Debian-on-mobile- maintainers wrote: > Package: chatty > Version: 0.8.9-1 > Severity: serious > Tags: ftbfs > Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past) > X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected], [email protected] > User: [email protected] > Usertags: amd64 > User: [email protected] > Usertags: arm64 > > The following is from Debian/Unstable on amd64: > > dh_install: warning: chatty missing files: usr/share/icons > dh_install: warning: Cannot find (any matches for) "usr/share/locale" (tried > in ., debian/tmp) > > dh_install: warning: chatty missing files: usr/share/locale > dh_install: warning: Cannot find (any matches for) "usr/share/metainfo" > (tried in ., debian/tmp) > > dh_install: warning: chatty missing files: usr/share/metainfo > dh_install: error: missing files, aborting > make: *** [debian/rules:8: binary] Error 255 > dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess failed with exit > status 2 > Command exited with non-zero status 2 > > The following is from aarch64 FuriOS (the Furilabs phone running modified > Debian): > > > dh_install: warning: chatty missing files: usr/share/help > dh_install: warning: Cannot find (any matches for) "usr/share/icons" (tried > in ., debian/tmp) > > dh_install: warning: chatty missing files: usr/share/icons > dh_install: warning: Cannot find (any matches for) "usr/share/locale" (tried > in ., debian/tmp) > > dh_install: warning: chatty missing files: usr/share/locale > dh_install: warning: Cannot find (any matches for) "usr/share/metainfo" > (tried in ., debian/tmp) > > dh_install: warning: chatty missing files: usr/share/metainfo > dh_install: error: missing files, aborting > make: *** [debian/rules:8: binary] Error 255 > dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit status > 2 > > -- System Information: > Debian Release: forky/sid > Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) > > Kernel: Linux 6.19.8+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/44 CPU threads; PREEMPT) > Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), > LANGUAGE=en_AU:en > Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash > Init: unable to detect > > _______________________________________________ > Debian-on-mobile-maintainers mailing list > [email protected] > https://alioth-lists.debian.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-on-mobile-maintainers
