Package: maxima Version: 5.49.0+dsfg-4 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Dear Maintainer, it appears that 'maxim-index.lisp' encodes wrong lengths (column <LENGTH IN CHARACTERS>). We can check it in a maxima session: entering '? ?' gives a paragraph that ends in the middle of a sentence. This can be observed for other description requests. I found this issue by entering '? build_info' in wxMaxima: I got an endless loop instead of a description (it appeared that the cut was around a special character). hth, Jerome -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.18.15+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: unable to detect Versions of packages maxima depends on: ii libc6 2.42-13 ii libedit2 3.1-20251016-1 ii libgmp10 2:6.3.0+dfsg-5+b1 ii libtirpc3t64 1.3.6+ds-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.13-1 Versions of packages maxima recommends: ii gnuplot-qt [gnuplot-x11] 6.0.3+dfsg1-1 ii maxima-share 5.49.0+dsfg-4 Versions of packages maxima suggests: ii maxima-doc 5.49.0+dsfg-4 pn maxima-emacs <none> pn texmacs <none> pn wish <none> pn xmaxima <none> -- no debconf information
