I'm not sure I understand, sorry. Why would use of explicit path to run invoke-rc.d be interesting at all? If you meant that use of path to run policy-rc.d, then I'm also not sure it's a problem, since only invoke-rc.d is supposed to be running policy-rc.d at all. However, I'm probably only missing something since this is not an area I have spent a lot of time thinking about. -- Crappy tools are not worth it.
