it is long ago that the Gnome developers replaced libgnome-keyring by libsecret. That is also why git-credential-gnome-keyring has long been renamed to git-credential-libsecret. I am therefore merging this bug with bug #878599. Please see the discussion to build a new package for git-credential-libsecret there [1].
