Hi, I actually never tried a 6.6 kernel before, I'm only quite sure it started showing up with 6.10 or 6.11, more likely 6.10, but it's not impossible it was with 6.9. and yes, I compiled straight from upstream sources.
There are definitely now more people in my Framework community post that started seeing this with Debian 13 or Ubuntu 25.04., but that sadly won't help that much with bisecting either. The only thing I can say is that whatever change was backported to 6.6, it is probably the worst trigger I've yet encountered, it will pretty much happen at least on a daily basis and can even happen multiple times per day. Testing previous kernel versions shouldn't be that difficult, "ideally" it will just be a matter of hours. Thankfully 6.6 isn't old stable but LTS. Best regards Richard
