Do we have any news on that? I really want to upgrade to 6.16 and wl is holding me back. In other news, ubuntu 25.10 got 6.17rc3 a few days ago and wl failed to build again. Luckily, someone had reported it early and a patch became available. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta/+bug/2120508 Proof that the patch works, although it is not yer part of the package. https://pastebin.com/FwN4MZhc p.s. I use reportbug from my desktop pc, which is on testing and has no wireless. Wl is used on my laptop, which is on unstable and is stuck on 6.12. I see no reason to install and setup reportbug there as well. -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.16.3+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages broadcom-sta-dkms depends on: pn dkms <none> Versions of packages broadcom-sta-dkms recommends: pn wireless-tools <none> broadcom-sta-dkms suggests no packages.
