well, i know from what i read the last time i was looking at the
iptables documentation, which boiled down to two things:
- using the init scripts was considered "deprecated"
- users should set up firewalls using hooks via /etc/network/if-*.d
so the patch i will submit would be something along those lines...
perhaps with some examples?
