Debian bug 1094494 is now fixed in Debian Unstable. I am hoping that it will be fixed in Debian 13 soon. Thank you for reporting this issue and identifying the fixes needed. There is now no need to work around this issue in the gnome-classic-xsession packaging. I will keep this bug open for now to help people searching for this issue. Jeremy Bícha
