Hello, I am experiencing issues with the `open-vm-tools-desktop` package when
using a KDE Plasma session on Wayland within a Debian virtual machine. The
mouse pointer remains confined within the VM window, making it impossible to
move it outside to interact with the host system (macOS). Additionally,
bidirectional copy-paste functionality (from VM to host and vice-versa) is not
working. I have confirmed that the `open-vm-tools.service` is active and
running (`systemctl status vmtoolsd`).
---

**Steps to Reproduce:**
1. Install Debian with the KDE Plasma desktop environment on a VMware Fusion
VM.
2. Install the `open-vm-tools-desktop` package.
3. Log in to a **Plasma (Wayland)** session.
4. Attempt to move the mouse cursor outside the VM window or copy/paste text
between the VM and the host.
---

**Expected Behavior:**
The mouse cursor should move freely between the VM and the host, and copy-paste
should work in both directions, as it does in an X11 session.

**Actual Behavior:**
The mouse is locked inside the VM, and the clipboard is not functioning from VM
to host.

**Additional System Information:**
* **Host OS:**  macOS, Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90) - Intel
* **Virtualization Platform:** VMware Fusion 13.6.3 (24585314)
* **VM Desktop Environment:** KDE Plasma
* **Session:** Wayland

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Andrea
