Package: ipxe Version: 1.21.1+git20250602.5b3ebf8b+dfsg-1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer,
the Ubuntu package of iPXE had gone ahead of debian and retained its version number: Debian had: 1.0.0+git-20190125.36a4c85-5.2 Ubuntu upgraded to: 1.21.1+git-20210429.323af9ee-0ubuntu1 Then Debian also released 1.21.1, but changed the verision format: 1.21.1+git20250602.5b3ebf8b+dfsg-1 Note that the '-' after 'git' is missing here. Our latest Ubuntu package has to include the '-' to be newer than our previous release, but this is now always newer than Debian's current version scheme without the '-': 1.21.1+git-20250602.5b3ebf8b+dfsg-1ubuntu1 would you kindly consider adding the '-' back in the next release, so our versions are in sync again? I fear Ubuntu couldn't have done any better since the latest Debian version at the time did contain the '-'. Should there be a new upstream tag, we can both drop the '-' easily again.
