Thanks for these details. I checked stopping Nextcloud desktop, removed both files in ~/.config/autostart/, then started Nextcloud and then I used the checkbox in the parameters to disable autostart, and reenabling the parameter, checking that only the ~/.config/autostart/Nextcloud.desktop is deleted / re-generated. So it seems that stopping all instances and removing ~/.config/autostart/com.nextcloud.desktopclient.nextcloud.desktop is probably the best workaround, Debian-wise.
