Package: lxqt-core Version: 33.0 Severity: wishlist Hi.
Is the hard dependency on qterminal really necessary? Running apt rdepends for it only lists this metapackage, and nm-tray which isn't required. And lxqt itself, so users who install this, presumably because they're going all lxqt or want all of it, would pull it already, I just don't see what it adds for the core package. It's clear there are components that expect some terminal emulator around, pcmanfm-qt in particular, but not strictly qterminal. I guess many people prefer another terminal, so allowing for x-terminal-emulator as an alternative would help some, hurt none. qterminal provides that already, but I'm sure you'd still want to mention it explicitly. Just consider that it pulls in a bunch of other packages some may never use, while removing the metapackage and hand-picking feels not worth it. Suggest: depend on qterminal | x-terminal-emulator Regards, Oliver
