Hello Fabio, because I got no reaction from the package maintainer jmw, I would like to ask you as uploader.
We have this issue making BIT unusable for a remarkable amount of users. Because of that I suggest to integrate the fix in Debian, despite the current Freeze. At upstream I released a hotfix version 1.5.5 in assumption this is easier on your side compared to a patch. The release contain the fix only, nothing more. How do you see the situation?
