s390x was switched back to ch3 in 4.2.0-13 due to eztrace autopkgtest failures. mips64el is the only release architecture without autopkgtests. Using ch3 like on s390x and 32-bit architectures might be a safer choice. As a side effect, it would also make mpich migration no longer wait for libfabric.
