Package: pdns-recursor Version: 5.2.0-4 Severity: normal Hi,
just reporting that the recent change of the config style is quite frustrating to existing users. a) upstream has changed the default format to some YAML b) where is the documentation for YAML? Upstream has https://doc.powerdns.com/recursor/PowerDNS-Recursor.pdf but it is NOT in the Debian package, and the program manual does not even mention YAML. c) It seems like the old-style configuration is not supported anymore. It is either causing random errors, or the options are not effective. It seems like it needs the option --enable-old-settings but it is not there in pdns-recursor.service file! Please find a better strategy to inform users about the config nuances. Maybe even using a NEWS file? Thank you.
