Yes, I know. But the information in d/copyright is wrong and this is a bug.

Right

And https://www.kinodv.org/ says kino is dead as of 5.8.2013. I don't know
if this is also true of dvgrab. At least we have relative high popcon level.
And yes, the github repo you mentioned looks like code for dvgrab, salvaged
from sourceforge. But it has no releases, so a watch file would not return
any useful information.

That's definitely not true since in gitmode watch files can return the
latest commit. And somehow the version looks pretty much like the
latest commit from "somewhere" (!= the Github repository), If I would
have been sure I would have sent a patch but its simply not clear from
what Git repository source was obtained from.

The version in Debian is git20160707.1.e46042e-1 which references git commit e46042e. It looks for me that it is the commit from https://github.com/ddennedy/dvgrab/commit/e46042e0c7b3523b6854ee547b0534e8310b7460
which is from May 16, 2016

Anyway it would be a good idea to have the package source in salsa.

Thus my bug report. I wonder whether you consider the VDR team a sensible
team or whether it might be rather multimedia-team.

If the multimedia-team is more active than the vdr-team it can well go there. I the last time I took the task to bring the vdr and dvb packages up to date, because nobody else did.

Cheers
Christoph
