This package contains ancient versioned Pre-Depends on dpkg, added in 2016 for dpkg-maintsctipt-helper. This is not currently needed, but has been entangling this package with dpkg's testing migration for several Debian releases via its autopkgtests. Please drop dpkg from the Pre-Depends.
