After upgrading a few days ago, my desktop became unusable.

journalctl also reports "Failed to setup: Unable to create suitable GL context".

My system has an Intel Core i5-460M (Arrandale, 1st Gen Core) with
Intel HD Graphics (Ironlake).

Other desktops like Cinnamon, XFCE, and KDE Plasma work fine, but
GNOME ~48 crashes. Probably my hardware is too old for modern GNOME,
but GNOME 47 worked fine, so I'd like an option to revert.

I'm happy to provide more details, logs, or run specific tests if
needed—just let me know what to check and how to collect the data.
