Package: gnome-shell Version: 48~rc-2 Since I installed gnome-shell 48~rc-2, the UI keeps freezing. This happens multiple times per hour during regular use. The whole display including cursor and clock are frozen.
Audio playback is continuing during the freeze. Capslock LED is still reacting to capslock keystrokes. Bluetooth headphones can be used to pause and continue playback. After suspend (closing and opening the lid), the freeze is gone. Sometimes the app switcher (Alt+Tab) is showing “on top” of the lock screen after suspend and resume. Unfortunately, I was not able do identify a root cause yet. I cannot link it to any specific activity (e.g. 3D rendering). It happens during normal usage with Nautilus, Terminal, Firefox and Evolution. journalctl (user or root) and dmesg do not show many messages that give a hint. I suspect the issue being related to gnome-shell because I did not update any kernel or video related packages recently. I updated various other Gnome 48 packages at the same time, but nothing else.
