i've found the problem and a fixed version will be uploaded later today. the issue was in the testsuite: redis-server apparently can get badly confused wrt. signal handling and not shut down on SIGTERM. in that case it logs "Received SIGTERM scheduling shutdown..." but never actually shuts down. subsequent further SIGTERMs just cause more log entries. (no clue when or why, it seems to happen randomly.) the testsuite for libanyevent-riperedis-perl was being polite and waited for its private instance of redis-server to actually terminate, which didn't happen. the fixed version makes sure that that process does indeed goes away. regards az -- Alexander Zangerl + GPG Key 2FCCF66BB963BD5F + https://snafu.priv.at/ Politicians are like diapers.
