Package: lz4 Version: 1.10.0-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
The softlink /usr/bin/lz4c -> /usr/bin/lz4 is no longer present. Some utilities -- notably the Yocto build system -- assume it's present, and will abort almost immediately if it's not. This softlink disappeared with the new upstream release from 1.9.x to 1.10.0. Neither the Debian changelog nor upstream's release notes make any mention of this change, which makes it a little puzzling. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.17-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages lz4 depends on: ii libc6 2.41-3 ii liblz4-1 1.10.0-3 ii libxxhash0 0.8.3-2 lz4 recommends no packages. lz4 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
