I'm willing to rename the package in Debian myself if you're Ok to
rename it (disclaimer: I never renamed a source package, I guess it has
to go through NEW queue again, but I don't know if there's more to it).

Ok. How do we proceed? Tomorrow I can do some quick research in Debian
policy and Developer reference, and come back with an "action plan".
Do that work for you, or do you want to handle this? Up to you.
