Package: dkms Version: 3.1.5-1 Severity: important Tags: ftbfs Dear Maintainer,
today, when upgrading my kernel, the two DKMS modules i have enabled on my machine both failed to build. inspecting the logs shows, that the build tries to run a 'pahole' command which does not exist on my machine. after installing the 'pahole' package, the build of the DKMS packages succeeds and 'apt full-upgrade' finishes successfully. incidentally i'm also maintainer of the 'src:v4l2loopback' package that comes with a 'v4l2loopback-dkms' package, for which i pushed a few commits to salsa today, triggering the CI. So you can see the build-failure in action on <https://salsa.debian.org/debian/v4l2loopback/-/jobs/7144934> (the missing dependency on 'pahole' could as well be in the linux-header package; please redirect this bug-report if this is the case) cheers -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.12.15-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages dkms depends on: ii build-essential 12.12 ii dpkg-dev 1.22.15 ii kmod 33+20240816-2 ii lsb-release 12.1-1 ii make 4.4.1-1 ii patch 2.7.6-7 Versions of packages dkms recommends: ii clang-18 [c-compiler] 1:18.1.8-16 ii clang-19 [c-compiler] 1:19.1.7-1+b1 ii fakeroot 1.37-1 ii gcc [c-compiler] 4:14.2.0-1 ii gcc-13 [c-compiler] 13.3.0-12 ii gcc-14 [c-compiler] 14.2.0-17 ii sudo 1.9.16p2-1 Versions of packages dkms suggests: ii e2fsprogs 1.47.2-1 pn menu <none> -- no debconf information
