There's the ratt tool (bin:ratt) which helps rebuild rdeps, though I
haven't used it, my setup is quite ad hoc.
Thanks for the hint!
So, I set up ratt and schroot. Ratt identified 411(!) reverse rdeps that
I attempted to rebuild over night on my private laptop.
Most packages rebuilt correctly so far. There were some which FTBFS, but
I inspected the build logs manually and the build errors were never
related to the FLAC transition in any case.
However, this morning the computer hang up and became unresponsive, so I
had to do a hard reboot. I don't have exact numbers of how many packages
were rebuilt, but we are in the order of 250 for which these results
apply.
Do you want me to rebulid the other packages as well or do you take the
results so far as a proof that no disruptive changes are to be expected
from the FLAC transition?
Cheers,
