excuse my poor English,
Thonny is really useful IDE to teach computer programming in Python. But
I don't expect find unrelated political statements in Debian packages,
even if it is not easy drawing a line of whats appropriate and whats not,
I was also shocked by this message: "I can understand why Russian
nationals might want to not see this message" : I am from a country who
supports Ukraine, but even in my country I had to delete this program
from my school computers, because not only is completely unethical
indoctrinate students, but also illegal and I can go to Court because of
that. I can wear a T-Shirt in support of Ukraine, but I can’t make my
students wear it. I can use software with political statements, but I
can’t make my students use it.
As Narcis said, there is the option of moving the political statements
to a optional package.
