Source: smartypants
Severity: wishlist

While preparing a team upload for #1087088, I noticed that the upstream
PyPI page https://pypi.org/project/smartypants/ now has a 2.0.1 release
available. Unfortunately, no "sdist" was published for that release
(see https://github.com/justinmayer/smartypants.py/issues/8) so it is not
caught by debian/watch.

Perhaps this particular source package should export the contents of the
Github repository and treat that as the source code? That would also add
unit tests, I think.

I didn't want to make structural changes in a team upload, and I'm already
responsible for more packages than I really have time for, so I'm not
intending to package the new upstream release myself - for a team upload
I wanted to stick to "first, do no harm" and make only small and easily
reversible changes.

Thanks,
