Package: postfix Version: 3.7.11-0+deb12u1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I accidentally copied an RSA private key to /etc/ssl/certs directory. After that postfix was not able to start anymore and I could not find any obvious reason why. "systemctl status postfix" showed that it was running, however when I checked the listening sockets, I could not find postfix. Status was: Active: active (exited) It would be nice to be able to see that postfix could not start. I figured out that /usr/lib/postfix/configure-instance.sh:84 caused the problem... openssl rehash exited silently with exit status 2.
