Hi. I was looking at blueman for other reasons and saw this bug. I am using blueman-applet with trayer (and vtwm). It diesplays a systray icon for me. I looked at the source code to see if the suggested change to AppIndicator.py would be a good idea.
I found that the whole source file is gone. The CHANGELOG.md entry for 2.3 says * Replace AppIndicator with DBus StatusNotifierItem I think this bug may have been fixed as a side effect of that change.
