The base wireshark package is already on version 4.4.3-1.
No, the wireshark-qt package has been removed for some time now. Outdated packages on ports should be ignored when building the metadata database. > It would be great if the "wireshark-qt" package could be removed from Debian > (changed to a transitional package for "wireshark") or at least had its > desktop file name changed to a non-conflicting one. I can't remove the package, the ports should fix the build dependencies to be able to build the latest wireshark and/or the appstream metadata generator should ignore outdated packages on ports: https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=wireshark Cheers, Balint
