That is to be seen. I think libwtmpdb does not at this point provide a stable ABI, so I'd avoid linking against it. I got the feeling RH might come up with something else, or maybe wtmpdb will be good enough for everyone after all. Providing initscripts would IMO be sensible; for systemd wmptdb provides two .service files as integration. OTOH maybe recording boots is not such an important feature. Chris
