From discussions in #debian-python it was found that at least astropy-healpix misses a dependency on python3-numpy-abiN, due to itself missing call to dh_numpy3 [1].

That is unfortunate, I hope the number of packages that skip dh_numpy3 is small. Is there a feasible way to check?

As mentioned in that bug, there was a Lintian tag [2] for this issue, but I do not see now where this is reported.

I filed a bug against lintian [3]. It is probably not too complicated to fix, but I did not feel confident enough in my Perl skills to mess with lintian.
