I don't and didn't apply the patch -- I meant the suggestion to do the
following:
|cd /usr/src/linux
make include/linux/version.h|
or adding
|do_clean := NO |
in /etc/kernel-pkg.conf.

I'll take your word for it -- I don't have any more info than what I
sent -- though I don't see how this is an rlim compilation problem
(likely due to my lack of expertise).
