Dear Maintainer,

As a user, I was interested in trying XFCE 4.20's new wayland compatability,
aware of some issues that may occur. I installed wayfire successfully, and
abided in the rules of functioning for wayfire xfce compatability. (configuring
the wayfire.ini to open xfdesktop on boot). When doing so, however, I noticed
the wallpaper on my setup is locked in place, and on my second monitor, does
not take up the whole screen (it is a vertical monitor), I looked into the
issue and saw reports on the xfce board, but there it was noted that this was
not occuring on bsd builds, which leads me to believe this is a debian
packaging issue.
It should be noted that when hovering a window over the unwallpapered section,
it caused severe screen overlay issues, with no overdraw commands, such as when
in a videogame you go out of bounds. I attempted to use the XFCE wallpaper tool
to change the wallpaper, to no avail, used xfconf to attempt to change the
wallpaper, which also did not work, and used wcm to attempt to change the
wallpaper as well, none of which proved effective. Finally, with the shutting
down of xfdesktop, the issue was "fixed."
The expected outcome of attempting to change the wallpaper with the xfce
wallpaper tool and xfconf commandline tool was to have it change wallpaper to
the selected image.
The actual outcome was nothing happening.
The tag ally is marked because the overdraw issue could potentially cause issue
with those who are at risk of epilepsy.
Wish you nothing but the best!
