So it's not "Pressing Enter makes the boot progress", but just pressing (say) "A" for a few times helps? > Adding any sort of debug also seems to mask the issue. Does adding "sysrq_always_enabled" to the kernel cmdline also already mask the issue? If not: Can you press Alt+PRT+t while it hangs and provide the output? (This is probably easiest by continuing the boot using the above mentioned key pressing and then extract it from dmesg or the journal.) The PRT key might be labeled "PRT", "PrtSc" or maybe even "SysRq". Best regards Uwe
