Hey I'm one of the upstream maintainers of composefs (and ~20 years ago I was a Debian Developer...) and I am happy to help with whatever needs doing here.
One thing I'd call out is that today the podman container runtime can optionally use composefs - it's a soft dependency today but I'd like to argue for making it a harder one upstream. If nothing else it's highly likely this week I may take a quick look at making some initial packaging that we may ship out of upstream in the interim. > My interest in libostree is mainly for Flatpak, which doesn't use composefs > anyway Not today, but I think it should.
