Package: apparmor Version: 3.1.7-1+b3 Severity: important
Dear Maintainer, for a while now, apparmor.service fails to start with the error message "Found reference to variable PROC, but is never declared". Almost all files that contain this variable are located in abstractions/ and are part of the apparmor package. Other "offending" packages are ibus-hangul, cups-daemon or evince, to name a few. The file /etc/apparmor.d/tunables/proc is present and contains # @{PROC} is the location where procfs is mounted. @{PROC}=/proc/ which should theoretically suffice to declare the PROC variable. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (50, 'experimental'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.1-falcot (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages apparmor depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.87 ii libc6 2.40-4 apparmor recommends no packages.
