Hi,

since dailystrips was a candidate for the Bug of the Day today I had a
look into the package and imported it into Salsa. When looking at
debian/README.Debian[1] which says:

Due to the high volatility of the strip information stored in
</usr/share/dailystrips/strips.def>, this package may be often out of date,
especially in Debian's "stable" release.
WARNING: As upstream development seems to have ceased, use of
"dailystrips-update" is no longer recommended. As such, it has been
neutered, and will be removed in a future release of this package. Please
remove it from any automated jobs.

you might guess that this package needs care very freqwently. There is
some fork at Github[2] with latest update 9 years ago and the patch
shipped inside the Debian package was also not maintained for a long
time (despite it was just created in Bastians NMU where he created
a source format 3.0 compatible patch).

Another measure is the number of bugs requesting adaptations (with or
without patches) which are not answered.

So we can somehow assume the package is non-functional and unmaintained
which does not make any sense for this package. That's why I suggest to
remove it from Debian.

Kind regards and thank you for your work as ftpmaster
    Andreas.
