To quote the wiki:"To keep the chroot updated it is recommended to simply delete it and recreate it by re-running the mmdebstrap command (see above): this is fast and makes sure the build environment remains clean."
so I don't see why you keep on insisting that I shouldn't create the new chroot with sbuild-update, as that was never ever on the table...
