As indicated in the description of the Print Commands in tuxpaint-config, the default printing command in tuxpaint is "lpr". Please test printing one of your images (which you can find in ~/tuxpaint/saved/) using "lpr". If you can't, then lpr is misconfigured on your system. Fix the configuration problem to make tuxpaint's print work.
