Package: 0ad Version: 0.0.26-7 Severity: grave Tags: upstream Justification: renders package unusable
Since the 1.23.0 → 1.24.0 OpenAL upgrade in unstable, 0 A.D. crashes on launch. This is a problem affecting the upstream too: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/topic/125203-crash-on-start-due-to-soundmanager/ A fix has been suggested upstream: https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/pulls/7234 I suggest cherry-picking this fix into our build as a patch, that could then be dropped once we package a new release including this fix. I can provide this patch as a merge request on Salsa, after running local tests to ensure it builds cleanly on top of our codebase and does indeed avoid the reported crash. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'oldstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.11.5-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages 0ad depends on: ii 0ad-data 0.0.26-1 ii 0ad-data-common 0.0.26-1 ii dpkg 1.22.11 ii libboost-filesystem1.83.0 1.83.0-3.2+b1 ii libc6 2.40-3 ii libcurl3t64-gnutls 8.11.0-1 ii libenet7 1.3.18+ds-1+b1 ii libfmt10 10.1.1+ds1-4 ii libfreetype6 2.13.3+dfsg-1 ii libgcc-s1 14.2.0-8 ii libgloox18 1.0.28-1+b3 ii libicu72 72.1-5+b1 ii libminiupnpc18 2.2.8-2+b1 ii libopenal1 1:1.24.0-1 ii libpng16-16t64 1.6.44-2 ii libsdl2-2.0-0 2.30.9+dfsg-1 ii libsodium23 1.0.18-1+b2 ii libstdc++6 14.2.0-8 ii libvorbisfile3 1.3.7-2+b1 ii libwxbase3.2-1t64 3.2.6+dfsg-2 ii libwxgtk-gl3.2-1t64 3.2.6+dfsg-2 ii libwxgtk3.2-1t64 3.2.6+dfsg-2 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.10-2 ii libxml2 2.12.7+dfsg+really2.9.14-0.2+b1 ii zlib1g 1:1.3.dfsg+really1.3.1-1+b1 0ad recommends no packages. 0ad suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
