Package: libomniorb4-3t64
Version: 4.3.2+ds1-1.1+b2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

When I compile and start a program using omniORB4, I get the following error:

omniORB: (0) 2024-11-14 12:52:27.189449: ORB_init failed: Bad parameter
(2097152 # 2 MBytes.) for ORB configuration option giopMaxMsgSize, reason:
Invalid value, expect n >= 8192 or n == 0

This is due to the following line in /etc/omniORB.cfg:

giopMaxMsgSize = 2097152    # 2 MBytes.

the comments are not allowed at the end of lines. The parser is confused and
takes the comment as part of the value.
If instead we use the following:

giopMaxMsgSize = 2097152

then omniORB4 works normally.

Thanks.
