Dear Maintainer, The message catalog for Turkish is installed in /usr/share/locale/tr_TR/LC_MESSAGES/FontForge.mo . This has the effect that for users who set LANGUAGE=tr (per the documentation at https://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/The-LANGUAGE-variable.html) the message catalog is not found. Turkish in Türkiye is Turkish's main dialect; therefore there is no point in storing the message catalog only in /usr/share/locale/tr_TR/ and not under /usr/share/locale/tr/ . The file should be moved to /usr/share/locale/tr/LC_MESSAGES/FontForge.mo . -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers jammy-updates APT policy: (500, 'jammy-updates'), (500, 'jammy-security'), (500, 'jammy'), (100, 'jammy-backports') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.15.0-122-generic (SMP w/12 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled fontforge-common depends on no packages.
