Dear Maintainer, The message catalog for Serbian with Latin script is installed in /usr/share/locale/sr@Latn/LC_MESSAGES/xdg-user-dirs.mo . But the lookup (done by glibc) uses the locale name, which is sr@latin, not sr@Latn. The abbreviation Latn comes from BCP-47, but glibc (and GNU libintl on other OSes) does not use BCP-47. The file should be moved to /usr/share/locale/sr@latin/LC_MESSAGES/xdg-user-dirs.mo . -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers jammy-updates APT policy: (500, 'jammy-updates'), (500, 'jammy-security'), (500, 'jammy'), (100, 'jammy-backports') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.15.0-122-generic (SMP w/12 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages xdg-user-dirs depends on: ii libc6 2.35-0ubuntu3.8 xdg-user-dirs recommends no packages. xdg-user-dirs suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
