Package: clamav-freshclam Version: 0.88.2-1 Followup-For: Bug #371843
I have the same problem, the command "shutdown -r now" does not shutdown the system. The problem is in the file /etc/init.d/clamav-freshclam. It uses a function pidofproc (line 101) from the lsb-base package (in file /lib/lsb/init-functions) which does not finish. So the clamav-freshclam script "hangs" which prevents the computer from shutting down. Line 101 reads: PID=`pidofproc -p $PIDFILE $DAEMON` This problem exists since I updated the lsb-base package to the latest version (3.1-8). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16.20 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages clamav-freshclam depends on: ii clamav-base 0.88.2-1 base package for clamav, an anti-v ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.1 Debian configuration management sy ii debianutils 2.16.1 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libc6 2.3.6-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libclamav1 0.88.2-1 virus scanner library ii logrotate 3.7.1-3 Log rotation utility ii lsb-base 3.1-8 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii ucf 2.0010 Update Configuration File: preserv clamav-freshclam recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
