Hi, alsaplayer showed up in the Bug of the Day[1] some time ago and thus I filed an ITS bug[2]. The waiting period of 21 days is over and I've moved the package to the Debian Multimedia Team[3]. I do not (yet) intend to fix this bug by following the suggestion to drop the binary package alsaplayer-gtk. For the moment I've filed an issue upstream to either upgrade to some more recent GTK version or at least provide some command line option to drop the GTK support which will probably simplify removing the package by not creating the need to patch the build system. For sure patches are welcome to forward these upstream. Kind regards Andreas.
