Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Wanted to install the emulator for some local experiments.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Tried to find out what to run. "man emulator" did not help -> the
package does not bring any manpage for the binary in the path. Tried to
run it nevertheless.
* What was the outcome of this action?
AVD not found. Hints in the error message are not helpful. No idea where
to get it or how to configure the tool whatsoever.
Package's doc folder does not contain any instructions either.
Double-checked the package description for hints. Found that the
description is WRONG. It talks about creating a Debian package and
installing it. I checked the Makefile in the cache folder - and cannot
find any such package creation or installation code. Instead, it simply
patches the installed package contents list (which is okay, although I
don't like that approach really much).
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Basic setup instructions for new users in a manpage or in
/usr/share/doc/google-android-emulator-installer. Also maybe an idea on
what executable is to be called ("emulator").
Also, have read access to /var/cache/google-android-emulator-installer
as regular user - I see no reason for 0700 permissions.
