Dear Maintainer, in the default installation of the init script X-Start-Before mention gdm3 kdm wdm xdm but not lightdm, this means that sometime nslcd is started after lighdm and stopped before, and when it's stopped before some cleanup command schedules at lightdm stop when an user reboot from inside a session are failing, not finding the user anymore. Please just add lightdm to that list like all other mentioned display manager.
